Local runner Sophie Power is currently in the midst of an extraordinary challenge, attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest run from Malin to Mizen. Sophie began her ambitious journey at 8am on Tuesday morning from Malin in Donegal and is on course to achieve her goal.

To break the record, Sophie must complete the run in under 3 days, 15 hours, and 36 minutes. She is expected to reach Mizen before 11pm this evening.

Supporters and holiday travellers heading west are encouraged to look out for Sophie on the road, accompanied by a cyclist, and to offer their cheers and support.
