Cork St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2025: A Celebration of Community and Co-operation

The Cork St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2025 will bring the city to life on 17th March at 1pm, with this year’s theme, “Building A Better World”, reflecting the UN International Year of Co-operatives. Participants are encouraged to incorporate this theme into their presentations, highlighting the importance of collaboration and unity in communities.

A Parade for All

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a vibrant display of Cork’s rich culture, featuring sports groups, dance schools, long-established brass bands, and special international guests. It showcases the diversity and creativity of the city, offering a spectacle filled with music, colour, and celebration.

For those unable to attend in person, the parade will be live-streamed from 12:45 PM on the Cork City Council website (link to be provided when available).

Accessibility & Inclusion

Ensuring the parade is accessible to everyone, Irish Sign Language interpretation will be available near the new Grandstand location on Patrick’s Street, beside the statue of Fr. Mathew.

Additionally, a designated zone for wheelchair users, visitors with reduced mobility, and those who require extra space will be available, with further details to be confirmed. Both areas are unreserved.

For those who may benefit from additional preparation, AsIAm has developed a Social Story for attending a St. Patrick’s Day parade, which can be accessed here: At A Parade.
