Uisce Éireann is currently working to restore normal water supply to homes and businesses in Shanagarry, Garryvoe, Cloyne, and the surrounding areas of Co. Cork after a burst watermain caused a significant outage.
Uisce Éireann spokesperson:
“Expert water service crews have been dispatched and are working to minimise disruption and carry out the required repair works, with every effort being made to complete this work as quickly as possible.”
Repair works are expected to continue until approximately 7pm this evening. Uisce Éireann is urging customers to allow an additional 3–4 hours after this time for the full restoration of their water supply.

“We would like to thank impacted customers for their patience while we complete works in the road and work to restore the water supply as quickly as possible.”
Vulnerable customers registered with Uisce Éireann are receiving direct communications regarding the outage, which is standard for both planned and unplanned service disruptions lasting more than four hours.
