Gardaí are currently at the scene of a reported stabbing incident near Dealz on Grand Parade. The incident unfolded during an altercation in the City Centre earlier this evening, leaving a man in critical condition.

The injured man has been removed to Cork University Hospital.

The scene is currently sealed off, and Gardaí remain at the scene.

In a statement to Cork Safety Alerts, a Garda Spokesperson said:

“Gardaí are currently at scene of a serious assault that occurred at Grand Parade, Cork City this evening Wednesday 14th June, 2023 at approximately 7.30p.m.

One man, aged in his mid 20s was serious injured and has been removed from the scene to Cork University Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Investigations ongoing and there is no further details at this time.”
