Cork City Council Launches Christmas Tree Recycling Initiative

Cork City Council has announced its annual Christmas Tree Recycling initiative, offering residents a convenient and eco-friendly way to dispose of their trees after the festive season. This service will run from Friday, 3rd January, until Friday, 31st January, with centres open daily from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Residents are encouraged to bring their Christmas trees to any of the designated recycling centres across the city. This free service ensures trees are responsibly processed and contributes to reducing waste.

The recycling centres are located at:

  • Gus Healy Swimming Pool, Ballinlough (adjacent to the green)
  • Clashduv Park, Togher (next to the bring bank site)
  • Ballincollig Regional Park, Ballincollig (on the green near the bring bank site)
  • Murmont Road, Montenotte (beside the green)
  • Sam Allen Sports Complex, Gurranabraher (next to the green)
  • Tramore Valley Park, South Link Road
  • Cork City Council offices, Glanmire (T45 YD83) (on the green at the front)

Cork City Council encourages all households to take advantage of this initiative to support the city’s waste management efforts and contribute to sustainable practices.
