Cork on a Fork Fest 2025 Expands with Calf Shed Dinners and Zero-Mile Feasts

Cork’s beloved food festival expands its programme with new dining experiences, chef collaborations, and unique farm-to-table events across the city this August

Cork on a Fork Fest 2025 has revealed a fresh batch of culinary experiences to add to its already packed programme, with several headline events already sold out and limited tickets remaining for others. The five-day celebration of Cork’s food culture, running from 13-17 August, is set to be the most extensive festival yet with nearly 100 events planned across the city.

Now in its fourth year, the festival has established itself as a cornerstone of Cork’s summer calendar, showcasing the producers, chefs, and culinary innovators that define the region’s vibrant food scene. The newly announced events range from intimate farm dinners to lively street parties, ensuring there’s something to tempt every palate.

New Events Highlight Local Partnerships

The latest additions include a particularly unique offering at Glenbrook Farm, where guests can enjoy a zero-mile dinner in a calf shed. The farm will host multiple events throughout the festival, including a rustic pig-on-a-spit supper with storytelling from CRAICLY’s Jane Gormley and farmer Peter Twomey on Wednesday 13th August (€65).

For barbecue enthusiasts, Thursday 14th August brings a special collaboration as Wexford’s Smokin’ Soul teams up with Cask’s head chef Robert Birins for an evening of exceptional live fire cooking in Cork’s iconic outdoor dining area (€50).

Friday night promises Latin flair with Mamacita’s Tequila & Tapas Street Party on Marlboro Street, featuring 2-for-1 cocktails from 5pm to 8pm and authentic Brazilian snacks from Saudade Brasil Market. This free-entry event encourages walk-ins alongside table bookings.

Weekend Programming Offers Diverse Experiences

Saturday’s highlights include a live Whiskey Chats Podcast recording at Hi-B Bar with Master Cooper Ger Buckley from Midleton Distillery (€20), and a chef collaboration between The Bookshelf at the Elysian and Victor França of Nu Asador (€60).

The festival concludes on Sunday with two distinct offerings: a Cork Food and Fashion Brunch at Bakestone featuring Opera Lane’s AW25 collection (€55), and both lunch (€65) and dinner (€100) farm-to-fork experiences at Glenbrook Farm, curated by Pamela Kelly of Farmgate Café and Chris Braganza of The Spice Genie.

Festival Celebrates Cork’s Food Heritage

Cork on a Fork Fest celebrates the city’s distinctive food identity, from world-class produce to deep-rooted food traditions. As a farm-to-fork destination since its origins as a trading port in the 10th century, Cork has led Ireland’s modern speciality food movement and boasts more artisan producers than anywhere else in the country.

The festival is organised by Cork City Council in partnership with local businesses, with support from Fáilte Ireland, Pure Cork, Cork Airport, Cork Business Association, and IHF Cork.
