As part of ongoing investigations into multiple incidents of suspected fraud nationwide, Gardaí arrested two men (aged in their 50s and 20s) on Friday, 14th April 2023. The incidents occurred at retail premises specialising in building materials between January and March 2023.

The arrested men were detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 at a Garda Station in Co. Tipperary and have since been charged.

Both men are due to appear before a special sitting of Newcastle West District Court today, Sunday 16th April 2023, at 3.45pm.
