Gardaí are seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage following a fatal single-vehicle motorcycle collision on the R515 near Milford yesterday.

A male motorcyclist in his 50s was found unresponsive this morning on the R515 at Coolnagour, between Milford and Dromcolliher on the Cork-Limerick border. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road remains closed today while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a technical examination. Local diversions are in place for motorists travelling between the two counties.

Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was travelling on the R515 between 1:00pm and 6:00pm yesterday, Saturday 21st June. Road users with dash-cam footage or any camera recordings from this timeframe are urged to make the material available to investigating officers.

The Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course as part of the ongoing investigation.
