Food safety authorities have issued a second update to the major Ballymaguire Foods recall, adding five more Tesco products to the growing list of ready meals and side dishes being withdrawn due to possible Listeria contamination.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland released Update 2 to alert 2025.34 today, targeting premium items from Tesco’s Finest range alongside a popular Meals Made Easy option. The expansion brings the total number of recalled products to well over 100 across Irish supermarkets.

The five newly added Tesco products are:

• Tesco Finest Chicken Parmigiano – premium Italian-style chicken dish
• Tesco Finest Salmon with Lemon & Dill Sauce – upmarket fish offering
• Tesco Finest Chicken Breast in a Mushroom and Madeira Sauce – restaurant-style chicken dish
• Tesco Baby Potatoes with a Garlic & Herb Butter – premium side dish
• Tesco Meals Made Easy Chicken Korma – popular mid-range curry option

All products manufactured at establishment IE 4008 EC are affected across all pack sizes, batch codes and best before dates. Consumers must check their freezers immediately and dispose of any of these items without eating them.

This second expansion follows yesterday’s addition of Centra Freshly Prepared Chicken Massaman with Sticky Jasmine Rice to the original extensive recall list. The pattern suggests ongoing investigations at the production facility are identifying additional products that may have been contaminated during manufacturing.
