Gardaí have launched an urgent appeal for public assistance in locating 15-year-old John O’Donoghue, who has been reported missing from Bandon. The teenager was last seen in the West Cork town at approximately 6pm yesterday, Tuesday 8th July 2025.
John is described as approximately 5 foot 5 inches tall with a slim build, fair hair and blue eyes. He has a distinctive tattoo on his lower right forearm, which may help with identification.
When last seen, John was wearing a black tracksuit with a single red stripe running down each arm and leg. This distinctive clothing could be crucial in helping members of the public spot him.
The Bandon community and surrounding areas are being asked to keep an eye out for John, particularly in popular gathering spots for young people. Any sighting, no matter how brief, could prove vital in ensuring his safe return.
Anyone who has seen John or has any information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Bandon Garda Station immediately on 023 8852200. Information can also be provided through the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or at any Garda station across the country.
Time is often critical in missing person cases, and Gardaí are hoping the public’s vigilance will help reunite John with his family as quickly as possible.
