Gardaí have arrested a man following a road traffic incident in Douglas, Cork yesterday evening, Saturday 23rd September 2023.

Gardaí received a report of a car driving in an erratic manner in the area. The vehicle failed to stop for Gardaí and was involved in a three-vehicle road traffic collision on West Douglas Street at approximately 6:20pm.

There were no injuries reported.

A male, aged in his 20s, was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda station in Cork City under the Road Traffic Act. He has since been released without charge pending further investigation.

Gardaí say that enquiries are ongoing.
