Gardaí from the Cork City Division have conducted a search under warrant at a domestic residence in Passage West as part of ongoing operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Cork city on Sunday 18th May 2025.

During the search Gardaí seized approximately €80,000 worth of suspected cocaine, 2 improvised firearms, ammunition and a number of other items. The drugs seized will be forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

A man in his 50s was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in Cork city. He has since been charged and is due to appear in front of the Cork District Court this morning, Thursday 22nd May 2025 at 10:30 am.
