Gardaí are investigating an incident in Cork city centre after a man was found unresponsive in the early hours of Monday morning.
The man, aged in his 20s, was discovered on Winthrop Street shortly before 12:30am on 26th May 2025. He was immediately transferred to Cork University Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit as investigations continue.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are particularly seeking anyone who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, from the surrounding area of Winthrop Street and Patrick Street between midnight and 1:00am.
