A star-studded music fundraiser featuring country music sensation Nathan Carter will take place at Cork City Hall on Wednesday, 30 July 2025, with all proceeds supporting the Irish Cancer Society.
The Concert for Cancer event, starting at 7:00 PM, will see Nathan Carter perform alongside support act Clodagh Lawlor in what promises to be a powerful evening of music for an important cause.
Behind the event is Cork promoter Natasha O’Byrne, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for bowel cancer. Her personal connection runs deep: she lost her mother to lung cancer in summer 2020 after just a six-week battle, while her grandmother faced the disease 20 years ago.
Natasha O’Byrne, Promoter and Cancer Survivor:
“We’re thrilled to bring together these incredible performers for such an important cause. Every ticket purchased directly supports those affected by cancer in our community.”
The statistics underscore the urgency of such fundraising efforts. Cancer affects one in three people in Ireland during their lifetime, with over 24,000 people diagnosed in 2020 alone, according to the National Cancer Registry.
Tickets are priced at €40 and can be purchased online through Eventbrite. Cork City Hall on Anglesea Street is easily accessible via public transport, with several city centre car parks nearby for those driving.
Local businesses have already rallied behind the cause, with sponsors including Cork Safety Alerts, BPerfect, Maldron Hotels, Suits.ie, Clonakilty Black Pudding, Leonardo Hotels, and the Creative Society.
The Irish Cancer Society provides free support services to patients and families while funding crucial cancer research across Ireland.
