Met Éireann have issued a status orange – wind warning for Cork, which is valid from 00:00 Friday 24/01/2025 to 12:00 Friday 24/01/2025.
- Forecasters are warning that Storm Éowyn: Gale force southwest to west winds will continue to bring severe, damaging and destructive gusts of up to 130km/h widely, with even higher gusts for a time.

- Damage to power lines and power outages
- Structural damage
- Very difficult travelling conditions
- Disruption and cancellations to transport
- Wave overtopping.
