Status Orange – Rainfall Warning Issued: Storm Babet

Storm Babet has officially been named by the UK Met Office this afternoon.

Met Éireann have issued a status orange – rainfall warning for Cork, which is valid from 06:00 Tuesday 17/10/2023 to 13:00 Wednesday 18/10/2023.

  • Forecasters are warning of heavy rain and strong and gusty east to southeast winds at times.

Impacts:

  • Flooding
  • Poor visibility
  • Dangerous road conditions
  • Possible wave overtopping at high tide
