Tragedy at Sporting Event in Enniskeane as 13-Year-Old Girl Dies in Vehicle Incident


A 13-year-old girl has died following a tragic incident involving a vehicle at a sporting event in Enniskeane, Co. Cork, on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred at approximately 3.30pm on 4th May. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene, but sadly the teenage girl, who was driving the vehicle at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be conducted in due course.

Gardaí have preserved the scene for technical examination as investigations into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident continue.
