As part of Uisce Éireann’s ongoing Leakage Reduction Programme, essential maintenance works are scheduled for the water network in Mallow on Thursday, 13 June. To facilitate these critical improvements, a planned water outage will occur, impacting approximately 2,500 homes and businesses.

The works, aimed at reducing leakage and enhancing the operational performance of the water supply network, will necessitate an outage from 11pm on Thursday, 13 June until 3am on Friday, 14 June. Areas expected to experience reduced water pressure or supply interruptions include Bearforest, Ballydahin, Ballyellis, Old Cork Road, Blackrock Park, Church View, Townview, Lynden Downs, Meadow Grove, Bearforest Lower, Meadowlands, Woodland Drive, Cois na hAbhann, Valley Walk, Ross Avenue, and surrounding regions.

Jack Cronin, Programme Manager with Uisce Éireann, emphasised the importance of these works and acknowledged the potential inconvenience to the local community. “Every effort will be made to reduce the impact of these works on homes and businesses and to restore the water supply as quickly as possible. We understand the impact that outages can have on customers and would like to thank the local community in advance for their patience and co-operation during the works,” Cronin said.
