Unleash your Super Brain with Dr Sabina Brennan at free HSE event

A free Brain Health information evening will take place in the Millennium Hall of Cork City Hall on Monday, May 15th, from 7-9pm. The North Cork Dementia Alliance (formerly The Crystal Project) are hosting the evening, with special guest speaker Dr Sabina Brennan. The event is open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

Dr Sabina Brennan, host of the Super Brain podcast, is a health psychologist and a neuroscientist. Her first book 100 Days to a Younger Brain was a No.1 best-seller and she leads Brain Fit – a study of brain health, lifestyle, genetics and dementia – at Trinity College Dublin. She has advised both the Irish and UK governments on matters related to ageing, brain health and dementia and is the Irish national representative on the Medical and Scientific Advisory Panel for Alzheimer’s Disease International.

An accomplished motivational speaker, Dr Brennan specialises in translating complex, cutting-edge, neuroscience into everyday language to show how anyone can harness their brain power to navigate challenge, build resilience and optimise performance.

Sheena Cadoo, HSE Occupational Therapist with the North Cork Dementia Alliance says:

“We are excited to welcome Dr Sabina Brennan to Cork and this brain health seminar will provide us with a fantastic opportunity to learn new ways in which to unleash our brain’s potential. We are very grateful to the Cork North Community Work Department for their support in organising this event. All are welcome to come along.”

The brain health seminar is supported by Cork Kerry Community Healthcare and the Cork North Community Work Department. The seminar is open to the public and is free to attend, but prior booking is necessary. To book tickets, phone Laura on 021 492 8371 or email brainhealthcork@gmail.com
