Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal road traffic incident near Kinsale, Co. Cork on Wednesday evening, 20th March 2024.

Shortly after 7:00pm, Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a single vehicle collision on the on the R607 at Farranamoy, near Kinsale. The sole occupant and driver of the car, a male in his 50s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The body of the deceased was removed from the scene to Cork University Hospital, where a post mortem examination is due to take place at a later stage.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. They also appeal to anyone with video footage (including dash-cam) from the area between 6:30pm and 7:15pm on the 20th March 2024 to make this available to them.
